I want one!!!

So tonight I had to run to a friends house so I could drop of one of my books so she can use it and when I got home I noticed that there was a kitty on our front porch.. I called Curtis and told him so he came outside and after a little bit of coaxing we were able to get the kitty to come to us.. He is such a loving little kitty. Even though he is not our cat and he has an owner because he had a collar and a flea collor but we still named him. His name is Louie. Curtis kinda has this little obsession with naming our cats names from the movie jungle book so that is where the name Louie came from. He says someday he wants to get 2 cats, one black and the other grey. He wants to name the black one Bagera (like the panther) and the grey one Blue (like the bear).. I kinda think he is nuts... But after tonight I decided that I really want to get a little kitty. The problem is I don't know if we will be able to since we are renting.. But I guess it never hurts to ask.. But hopefully they will say yes. I want one that looks kinda like this
Isn't it just to darn cute

So a lot of things have been happening lately, some good, some bad. Like yesterday had some good and some bad in it, but mostly good. Starting off I had to wake up at 7:00 so I could clean my house because my visiting teacher was coming at 10 and I didn't want to have a dirty house when they got there so I was busy cleaning and listening to some hymns and other church music. I must say that I love listening to church music, it just puts me in such a good mood and kinda sorta made the cleaning bearable.. just don't tell Curtis that cause he will make me clean all the time. But after my visiting teacher left I went shopping at a few (by a few I mean 2) local craft stores in town, and got some fabric so she can make some little doll houses and i got some fabric also because I decided a while ago that I wanted to make my own crib set and decor but I finally decided what theme I am going with so I got the things and started a little experimenting last night and by the way I AM NOT PREGNANT, I just would like to get it done now so when I actually am pregnant I will be able to enjoy it and not have to stress about having a dead-line to get it done by, and yes I know that I will have 9 months to finish it but I am a slow worker and while I am in a crafty mood I would like to get it done.  For dinner we had some super yummy spaghetti with homemade sauce. We have a ton of tomato's so we decided that we would try to eat meals that are planned around tomatoes so they don't all go to waste. I didn't have a recipe so I just kinda threw things together and I must say that I did a pretty good job, the sauce was really thin and runny but it was still really good. After dinner our home teachers came and left and we all went our seperate ways, Curtis had a meeting at the church and I went to a Kids Closet thing and looked around with Judy and Heather. After coming home from that we both sat on the couch and I watched as Curtis played his game for almost 3 hours, he beat it and then we went to bed at midnight. He likes to play his games alot. He is actually about to play again which will probably end up like it did last night, us not going to bed till super late.

some birthday

So today is my birthday and I have to admit it is not the best one.. I woke up with a major migraine which totally knocked me flat on my bum-bum and to make matters worse we came out to see that my pet fish that I got for my birthday is DEAD! he was already sick when i git him so it wasn't entirely my fault but it is still sad that he did die. Although I did have a super AMAZING birthday party which I will tell about later but I suppose it is about time to stop complaining and go eat a piece of toast because that is all I can really eat when I have a migraine.. Hopefully my day gets better.

Banana-Nut cookies= best thing to set foot in my mouth

So on Friday Curtis and i went through our freezer because something was starting to stink, and in the process we found some frozen bananas that we had both forgot about. Curtis' mom had gotten them and had given them to us right before we were gonna go on our vacation to Utah for almost 2 weeks so i just threw them in a Ziploc bag and forgot about them until we discovered them. Curtis tried throwing them away but i could not pass up the opportunity to make some of my Great Grandma Wilhite's Banana-Nut cookies. I had planned on making them that night but I kinda fell asleep while Curtis was playing Star-Craft 2 (I have no idea how i let him talk me into letting him get it) and didn't wake up until 6 and I didn't feel like cooking so we went to this little BBQ place in town called All Slabbed Up which by the way was very tasty but that is another story. So i had planned on making the cookies on Saturday but that didn't happen because it more or less turned into a cleaning/lounge day and I didn't really feel like baking anything so yet again the cookies got pushed back another day. I had planned on making the cookies before church since we moved to the later block in the beginning of August so i would have had plenty of time to make them but once again I didn't feel like baking but i knew that it had to get done because my fridge was starting to smell like VERY ripe bananas.. (not to pleasing if  you ask me!) so after church we went to Curtis' parents for dinner and almost right after Curtis had to leave for a Priesthood Fireside so I decided that it would be a good time to finally make my cookies. I changed into some comfy clothes and even decided to wear the apron that one of my aunts made me ( it is the same style that Grandma Wilhite used to wear, its just a normal looking apron except it doesn't have a tie around the neck she just used to safety pin it to her shirt.) I popped in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the the VCR and went away on my cooking frenzy. They turned out sooooooo good.. I also had a bag of zucchini (I got the zucchini from my mom last year from her garden, it was massively huge so i got enough zucchini out of it to make 6 batches out of it.) that was sitting in our fridge that had the same sentencing as the banana's so i decided that i would make some zucchini bread as soon as my cookie dough was finished.. I quickly washed the bowl and started making some yummy zucchini bread. Curtis came home to a yummy smelling house where he ate a few cookies them promptly went to his computer so he could do somethings and is currently playing his LAME game.

Well i guess if Curtis is never going to post anything on here I might as well  be the one to initiate it. A lot has been going on this summer, family camp outs, going to Utah, Corey going to the MTC and eventually to Canada, school starting in a few days, looking for a new job because making sandwich's just isn't cutting it any more.. I'm tired of my job. Although 2 weeks ago at church Brother Spataro turned around and asked me where i was working at and when i told him he told me to get him an updated resume so hopefully that will go somewhere.
It has also been ridiculously HOT around here.. today while i was driving home from work i passed by one of the little digital signs that show the time and the temperature and as i passed by it at approx. 3:48 it read 103 degrees.. seriously i just can't wait until it is a lot cooler out side then it will start to get cold and i will start to complain how it is really cold and then will be waiting until it starts to get warm, its a none-stop cycle.
